We visited Wasabi, located in Tysons Mall, Tysons Virginia, and this was such a wonderful little experience. We had seen conveyor belt sushi restaurants on TV and other media but have never tried one in person, so when we saw this restaurant, we decided to give it a go. I'm so happy we tried this place out as the food was wonderful and fresh with lots of flavor, and the presentation was just delightful. We will absolutely go back again when we are in the area. Surprisingly, the prices were very reasonable compared to a lot of other standard sit-down sushi restaurants that we frequent. I ended up with like five small plates, and the bill only came to around 30. The portion size versus variety is definitely a selling point because you get to try lots of yummy things without the added cost.

Was at the mall and started feeling hungry, so I finally decided to check out that sushi spot I always walk past and honestly? Glad I did. Service was on point, super friendly and fast. The setup is cool: you sit at a table while sushi rolls by you on a conveyor belt. You just grab what looks good, no waiting around. Each plate is color-coded by price, which makes it easy to keep track (or not, if you’re feeling adventurous). I was starving so I didn’t even catch all the names of what I tried but every plate I grabbed was solid. Super fresh, tasty, and surprisingly good for showing up around 8pm when you’d expect things to slow down (they close at 9:30pm). Price-wise? Affordable and worth it, especially for the experience. Definitely recommend if you’re craving a quick sushi break or just want a fun dinner spot at the mall.

My favorite conveyor sushi I’ve been coming here for at least 5 years! The crunchy spicy salmon is so good and the quality of the fish ties it all together.

I came for the fun conveyor belt experience, and kept eating for the flavors! I would recommend getting the more expensive plates for the best experience. The Tysons Roll, Scorpion Roll, and even California Rolls were excellent. The service was attentive and refilled our water quickly. I would personally stay away from the "peanut butter and jelly roll" and the "Asian snacks". Not worth your money as you can make PB&J at home and you can get Asian snacks around any Asian grocery store for much cheaper.

The plates are colored and each color means you pay a different price. The sushi comes around on a conveyor that has a label underneath to tell you what each dish is. The portion sizes and prices are great and small enough to where you can try 6 or 7 plates, including dessert. I ate with a second person and had 9 plates between the two of us; 65 in total.
